Hello everyone, long time no post! First of all I'm sorry for my absence, I've been swamped with coursework these past couple of weeks, but I'm back and I will be bombarding you with posts right up until Christmas so I hope I can make it up to you all.
You may have seen me rocking some pretty cute chokers, if I do say so myself, on my IG lately and I thought I would give you two little reviews of them both. The first, is the "White Heart Choker" from @punipuni.shop on Instagram. A store that specialise in super cute aesthetic clothing, with a few unique items thrown in there too! On the other hand, @curiouscresent.shop is an online Etsy store that create wonderful, handmade pieces of jewellery and tote bags; all created by a very lovely mutual I've followed for quite some time, @peculiarplanets. I'm going to review both of these chokers separately and completely unbiased, no comparisons or preferences. My sole focuses will be the quality, the fit and value for money!
"WHITE HEART CHOKER" from Puni Puni Shop
DESCRIPTION: This heart shaped choker comes on thick, leather strap that's double-looped at the front as you can see. It just simply pops into place at the back, making it easy to adjust and take off!
PRICE: $9, which is actually one of the cheaper prices I've seen this choker be sold for. Some aesthetic, kawaii based stores can really pump up their prices, and while there are a couple of expensive products available on this store's site, this one is one of the cheapest. A decent price for the quality of the product itself; its durable, the strap is comfortable and it also comes in 8 different colours.
PRODUCT MATERIALS: The heart is a silver-esque material, and I can't be sure if the strap is genuine leather or not as the materials aren't listed on the website description.
ADVANTAGES: This is a really badass accessory, the perfect accompaniment to any dull winter outfit.
DISADVANTAGES: I have quite a small neck to begin with, so adjusting the strap can be difficult. The smallest fit is too tight and can be very uncomfortable as the heart can dig into my throat, but the next size up is too loose and it falls down, so I can't really wear this product as much as I would like to!
OVERALL: I really like this choker, I've always wanted one in this style and I think that the fact there is such a wider variety of colours available makes it a really unique addition to Puni Puni Shop. As much as I love it, I can't wear it too often because of the adjust-ability issues but as I understand that's just the standard size for these types of chokers, I can't really complain!
"BALLERINA CHOKER" FROM CURIOUS CRESCENT
DESCRIPTION: This gorgeous choker combines a variety of materials to make an adorable and angelic product. The contrast of the soft pink and the black velvet looks amazing, accompanied by the beautiful shimmery pink charm in the centre!
PRICE: $10.39AUD, which is a good price considering this choker is completely handmade and you can ask for it to be made to fit to your neck length. It's also adjustable for a comfortable fit.
PRODUCT MATERIALS: Velvet, lace and a little glass pendant with shimmer.
ADVANTAGES: I really love to overall look of the choker, and the feel doesn't resemble any other choker I've previously worn.
DISADVANTAGES: The lace and velvet are glued on the inside of the choker so it can be a little scratchy from time to time. Also again, because of my small neck issues, it can be really hard to actually get the choker of because it's hard to get at the clasp. However, because of the chain for adjustment, it gives me a bit of breathing space no matter where I clasp it.
OVERALL: This product is so adorable, the combination of black and baby pink is one that I love, and it looks great with any outfit. Any disadvantage I've listed is a little bit finicky but that's only because this product is of such high quality for one that's handmade, so it's hard to find any issues!
Both of these products make great accessories to any outfit, I love wearing them day to day. Both are great quality, absolutely beautiful and I will continue to wear them for a long time.
I hope you've enjoyed reading this little introductory winter post and if you have any blog post ideas for the festive season let me know!
